The Arlberg is famous for its winters, but summer in the Arlberg region is just as good! A summer holiday in Lech Zürs offers a wide variety of activities and possibilities. From hiking, and (e)biking to trail running, fishing and climbing. But you can also enjoy a yoga class, a day at the golf course, or go swimming in the forrest swimming pool or on of the beautiful (and cold..) mountain lakes. The area has everything on offer for a great summer get away.

Hiking

With over 350km of marked hiking trails Lech Zürs is a true hiking paradise. The region has something for every level and age. Multiple day mountain hut tours in the Lechquellen area, summit adventures in the Lechtal alps, or relaxed hikes over the green meadows and alongside the lakes. Whether you are looking for a physical challenge, an educational trail for the kids, or a hike with picknick and amazing views. The summer hiking trails in the Arlberg won't disappoint.

(E)biking

(E)biking is getting more and more popular and Lech Zürs has developed multiple (e)biking trails and routes for beginner to advanced level. Taking in the views of the area during an guided (e)bike tour or testing your skills on one of the mountain bike trails, it is up to you!

Combine your bike tour with a well-earned lunch break at one of the mountain huts or farms that offer the culinary delights of the region. There is also the possibility to go on a biking & hiking tour. Cycle to the starting point of your hike and go all the way for the summit on foot. More info

Bike rental

You don't have or you just don't want to bring your own (e)bike? No problem, we can arrange an (e)bike for you! Our special deal with 'Sportalp' makes it possible that your bike is waiting for you at the hotel on the (first) day of your biking tour. So you are ready to go straight after your delicious breakfast.

Climbing

For the real adventurers there is also the possibility to go to the peak with rope and carabiner. Arlberg Alpin offers guided climbing courses and tours on the via ferratas of the Arlberg region. Luckily there is a via ferrata for all levels, so everyone can enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama and the beautiful summits around our hotel.

Golf

Since 2016 the golf club in Zug am Arlberg offers players a sophisticated 9 hole course. This harmoniously embedded golf course provides stunning mountain perspectives and is the highest located golf course in Austria, at 1500 m.

Test your swing or improve it with some lessons at the driving range, or join the annual Arlberg Classic Golf Cup, it will be an unique experience.

Fishing

From the flowing Lech river to the pristine mountain lakes, Lech Zürs area offers anglers a wide variety of options. A solid stock of riverine brown trout, rainbow trout, lake trout and speckled trout made the clear mountain waters to their habitat.

Lures and fishing equipment can be rented at several places, and make sure that you purchase a day ticket for the spot you are trying your luck! There are plenty of crystal clear waters open to all fisher men and women.

(Trail)running

The quieter summer season is the perfect time to recharge your batteries in the Arlberg area. Doesn't matter if it is a walk, jog or a trail run, moving in the beautiful nature of the Lech Zürs region does wonders for the body and mind.

You can choose from 10 official running trails leading over shore, meadow, fields, forest and woodland paths. Breath in the fresh mountain air and feel happiness flow into your body and mind. This is exactly how a summer holiday should feel.

Yoga

The tranquility of the mountains provides a perfect surrounding for the spirituality of yoga. It frees the mind, brings the body into harmony and brings a deep feeling of relaxation.

Every week a local yoga instructor takes enthusiastic yogi's into the mountains in the early hours of the morning and provides them wit a yoga practice that leaves you feel re-born.

Swimming

The completely renewed (2020) forest swimming pool offers a 25-meter sports pool, an aquafit pool with bubble loungers and massage jets, a children's and baby pool and a fun wide wave slide.

And if swimming isn't your thing, you can always enjoy the other sport facilities, or just spoil yourself with summer snacks, ice cream and cold drinks. The perfect day getaway for the whole family.

The brave of heart can refresh in one of the mountain lakes, just dipping a toe or go the whole way and just plunge in for a swim.
